It is eternally significant that any reader of this article understand that the basis of every evaluation of Roman Catholicism in this article is the infallible, authoritative Word of God as testified to by God Himself in His Holy word – Psalm 19:7-11; 119:97-105; Isaiah 44:6; 43:10- 13; 55:8,11; Proverbs 30:5-6; John 17:17; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22: 18-19.

Psalm 19:7-11: 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The percepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether. 10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 119:97-105: 97 O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. 98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever mine. 99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the aged, because I have observed Your precepts. 101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word. 102 I have not turned aside from Your ordinances, for You Yourself have taught me. 103 How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Isaiah 44:6: 6 “Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.

Isaiah 43:10-13: 10 “You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. 11 “I, even I, am the Lord, and there is no savior besides Me. 12 “It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And I am God”. 13 “Even from eternity I am He, and there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it.

Isaiah 55:8,11: 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD…….11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

Proverbs 30:5-6: 5 Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. 6 Do not add to His words or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar.

II Timothy 3:16-17: 16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

II Peter 1:19-21: 19 So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Revelation 22:18-19: 18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

Apart from a belief in and acceptance of God’s Holy word as the only source of truth that exists; that contains the truth of the only way to be forgiven of ones sin, in the Person of His resurrected, living, ascended Holy Son, Jesus Christ – John 14:6; that forgiveness is by way of God’s foreordained plan (Ephesians 1:3-6) of His gift of a new heart (Ezekiel 36:26-27), His gift of repenting faith, that brings His gift of saving faith, that then brings His gift of life-long, obedience producing, sanctifying faith – apart from believing this truth, as the result of having been, by God’s grace, born again, this article will likely have little meaning to you. In fact it might well seem to you, to be extreme and critical – I Corinthians 2:14.

John 14:6: ” 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Ephesians 1:3-6: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Ezekiel 36:26-27: 26 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

I Corinthians 2:14: 14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

I want to also sincerely say that this article is not about the 1.4 billion followers of Catholicism. There is absolutely no intent or purpose to, in any way, malign the character of any individual member, to be judgmental of any individual follower, or to, in any way, be disparaging of any individual follower.

However, this article is about being faithful to the command of Scripture to identify false teachers and their false religious systems – Matthew 7:15-20.

Matthew 7:15-20: 15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.

This article is about informing true believers of the insidiously deceptive reality of the satanic, apostate system that is Roman Catholicism. Needless to say, every individual who constitutes the leadership and propagation of this false system, at any level, will be identified in this article as the apostate false teachers that they are as described by Paul in II Corinthians 11:13-15.

II Corinthians 11:13-15: 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

As true believers we should be faithful to diligently pray that our Sovereign Holy Father would, in His infinite grace, in accordance with His will, cause some of those 1.4 billion deceived followers of Rome (II Corinthians 4:3-4), to be gloriously born again – I Peter 1:3,4-5,6a.

II Corinthians 4:3-4: 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

I Peter 1:3,4-5,6a: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice,

Consider now, how God’s authoritative Word reveals “why” we are seeing the escalation of this false system – Romans 1:28; 3:18; II Timothy 3:1-7,13; I Thessalonians 5:2(day of the Lord); II Thessalonians 2:2; II Peter 2:9; 3:10.

Romans 1:28: 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,

Romans 3:18: 18 “THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES.”

II Timothy 3:1-7,13: 1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth………….13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

I Thessalonians 5:2(“day of the Lord” vs. “coming of the Lord”): 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

II Thessalonians 2:1-2: 1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

II Peter 2:9-10; 3:10: 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority.

II Peter 3:10: 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

In seeking and acquiring understanding of life, when a man rejects God and Christ as revealed in His Sovereign, authoritative, objective, revealed Truth (Psalm 19:7-11; II Peter 1:19-21), the only thing left for that man is depraved, subjective, human, hypothetical opinion.

As affirmation of this truth consider the following from the pen of an atheistic, Jewish psychologist whose specialization is Moral Psychology. In his book “The Righteous Mind”, which, incidentally, is unavoidably ironic, on page 256 Dr Jonathan Haidt tells of Historian William McNeill’s conclusion about the effect of the repetitious drilling he experienced in the US Army in 1941. Haidt comments that McNeill’s later research on the purpose and benefits of such repetition led him to “hypothesize” that this process served to “shut down self” by the comradery it produced in the group. Having referenced this example on page 256, Dr. Haidt, on page 258, introduces what he calls his “Hive Hypothesis”. This is his evolutionary way of attempting to explain human nature and the development of human society. He states “My hypothesis in this chapter is that human beings are conditional hive creatures.”

As stated above, when rejecting God, Christ, and God’s Word, man has nothing left, regardless of the degrees he has earned, or the research he has done, but flawed, self-deceived “hypotheses”.

Romans 11:6 and Ephesians 2:8-10 expose the tradition, works based “salvation” of Romanism as the satanic evil, counterfeit lie that it is.

Romans 11:6: 6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.

Ephesians 2:8-10: 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Christ’s command in Matthew 23:9 eternally exposes and condemns one of the most vile, evil, blasphemous doctrines of Roman Catholicism — the heretical title, Holy Father, attributed, in a deifying way to the Pope – Isaiah 5:20-21.

Isaiah 5:20-21: 20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight!

Another clear testimony of the satanic nature of Romanism is the way the secular worldly media and public alike accept it as legitimate with basically no rejection or persecution by any of the sociological hate groups that so abhor true Christianity – John 15:18-19; I Peter 3:13-17.

John 15:18-19: 18 “If the world hates you, you know it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 “If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

I Peter 3:13-17: 13 Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION OR BE TROUBLED, 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; 16 and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. 17 For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.

In Colossians, chapter two, Paul exposes four satanic lies that were infesting the Colossian church – philosophy (v8), legalism (vv16-17,20-23), mysticism and angel worship (v18), and finally asceticism (vv18,23). All four of these satanic lies are cogent teachings and practices of Roman Catholicism.

What we, as true believers, are witnessing in the escalation of this false system is our Heavenly Father, in real time, preparing the way for the glorious return of our Lord (I Thessalonians 4:13- 18) and the beginning of His foretold seven years of tribulation and purification of Israel (Matthew 24:21; Jeremiah 31:33-34).

I Thessalonians 4:13-18: 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Matthew 24:21: 21 “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.

Jeremiah 31:33-34: 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 “They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember them no more.”

Consider the following example of pagan idolatry as recently evidenced at the death of Pope Francis. A FoxNews article headline read “Pope Francis’ tomb opens to visitors at Roman basilica, as 200K attend special Mass at St. Peter’s Square”. The article stated “The wait time is about an hour, according to SkyTV. Some of the visitors arrived before dawn so that they could get in at 7AM when the tomb first opened.” As the title of this Fox article reveals, the spiritual darkness and blinding bondage of these 200,000, as well as the 1.4 billion total Catholics is unfathomable – John 8:43-45; Jeremiah 10:8-9; Isaiah 5:20; John 3:36.

John 8:43-45: 43 “Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. 44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 “But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.

Jeremiah 10:8-9,10: 8 But they are altogether stupid and foolish in their discipline of delusion—their idol is wood! 9 Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, The work of a craftsman and of the hands of a goldsmith; violet and purple are their clothing; they are all the work of skilled men. 10 But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth quakes, And the nations cannot endure His indignation.

John 3:36: 36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

The basilica referred to here is the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major which is, by the church, publicized as “the spiritual heart of Christianity and Marian devotion”, one of four Papal Basilicas in Rome. This statement could not be anymore directly out of the evil, God-hating, wicked heart and mind of Satan – Genesis 3:1-6; Isaiah 14:12-15.

Genesis 3:1-6: 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'” 4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! 5 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

Isaiah 14:12-15: 12 “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! 13 “But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

The following illustrates the pagan, depraved, idolatrous beliefs taught and practiced by the church in relation to this basilica. Remember, we’re talking about what in reality is an ancient, decaying building built by human hands.

This Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major has dominated the city of Rome for sixteen centuries as the Marian Shrine par excellence. Tradition (Isaiah 29:13-14) states that the Virgin Mary indicated and inspired the construction of her abode on the Esquiline Hill. She is said to have appeared in a dream (Deuteronomy 13:1-5) to the aristocrat, Giovanni, and to Pope Liberia, asking for the construction of a church in her honor, in a place that she would miraculously reveal. This “tradition” is satanic mysticism impregnated with nothing more than human superstition.

Isaiah 29:13-14: 13 Then the Lord said, “Because this people draw near with their words and honor Me with their lip service, but they remove their hearts far from Me, and their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote, 14 therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the discernment of their discerning men will be concealed.”

Deuteronomy 13:1-5: 1 “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 “You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him. 5 “But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from among you.

The Basilica houses the most important Marian icon, the Salus Populi Romani. Salus Populi Romani means “Protectress of the Roman People” and dates back to the legal system and pagan ritual of the ancient Roman Republic (this is pure satanic, blasphemous deifying of a human being, Mary – Exodus 20:3). This is a Byzantine (580 AD) icon of the Madonna and Child Jesus (Jeremiah 10:8-9) holding a Gospel Book that is housed in the Pauline Chapel of this Basilica. According to tradition the icon was made by Saint Luke the Evangelist. The Miracle of the Snow is celebrated every year. During the liturgy a shower of white petals falls from the ceiling that is said to create an almost perfect union between the congregation and the Mother of God. This evil, satanic deifying of Mary to the status of the “Mother of God” is sheer, unmitigated, heresy, blasphemously so (Isaiah 5:20-21).

The importance of Saint Mary Major is highlighted by the fact that the Holy Crib, supposedly the manger Baby Jesus was placed in, is housed here and as such causes the Basilica to be described as the “Bethlehem of the West”. The first Christmas Mass was supposedly

celebrated here and that practice continues today. Be mindful that what is, in reality, being “celebrated” here is yet another of the multitude of satanic practices that constitute the entire belief system that is Roman Catholicism.

Pope Francis had a deep and public devotion to this icon Salus Populi Romani. He frequently prayed before the icon. He even had it brought to St. Peter’s Square during the COVID-19 epidemic. His connection to the icon is highlighted by it being his chosen final resting place. His mortal remains are buried in the Basilica, just a few feet from the chapel that houses the icon.

In his homily at the death of Francis, Cardinal Peter Parolin made the following remarks.

“The shepherd who the Lord gave to his people, Pope Francis, has ended his earthly life and has left us. The grief at his departure, the sense of sadness that assails us, the turmoil we feel in our hearts, the sense of bewilderment we are experiencing, all of this, like the apostles grieving over the death of Jesus (*1 – To compare anything to do with this apostate evil system with the apostles grieving over the death of Jesus is immeasurable, blatant, satanic heresy akin to blasphemy – II Corinthians 11:13-15; Isaiah 3:11-12; 5:18-21). Yet, the Gospel tells us that it is precisely these moments of darkness (*2 – Here is a present, in real time, sample of the truth of Proverbs 4:16-17,19. This entire system is immersed in darkness and doesn’t even know it) that the Lord comes to us with light of the resurrection, to illuminate our hearts. He reminded us that “mercy” is the very name of God (*3 – Francis was devoid of any knowledge of God’s mercy – I Corinthians 2:14. God’s name IS NOT “mercy”. God’s Holy name is Yahweh – Isaiah 44:6. Mercy is an unmerited grace of His infinite love – I John 4:7-19), and, therefore, no one can put a limit on his merciful love with which He wants to raise us up and make us new people. It is important to welcome as a precious treasure this principle on which Pope Francis insisted so much.”

I John 4:7-19: 7 Beloved, let us love one another for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. “Pope Francis chose his place of burial in St. Mary Major Basilica, near an icon of the Madonna he revered, because it reflects his humble, simple and essential life.” This is the makeup of pure, ungodly, pagan, idolatry. The entire mindset of Romanism pertaining to St. Mary Major Basilica and their plethora of icons is one of unadulterated, intentional, willful, pagan idolatry – Deuteronomy 13:1-5; Isaiah 44:9-20; Jeremiah 10:8-9,10.

Deuteronomy 13:1-5: you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 “You shall follow[+] the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him. 5 “But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from among you.

Isaiah 44:9-20: 9 Those who fashion a graven image are all of them futile, and their precious things are of no profit; even their own witnesses fail to see or know, so that they will be put to shame. 10 Who has fashioned a god or cast an idol to no profit? 11 Behold, all his companions will be put to shame, for the craftsmen themselves are mere men. Let them all assemble themselves, let them stand up, let them tremble, let them together be put to shame. 12 The man shapes iron into a cutting tool and does his work over the coals, fashioning it with hammers and working it with his strong arm. He also gets hungry and his strength fails; he drinks no water and becomes weary. 13 Another shapes wood, he extends a measuring line; he outlines it with red chalk. He works it with planes and outlines it with a compass, and makes it like the form of a man, like the beauty of man, so that it may sit in a house. 14 Surely he cuts cedars for himself, and takes a cypress or an oak and raises it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow. 15 Then it becomes something for a man to burn, so he takes one of them and warms himself; he also makes a fire to bake bread. He also makes a god and worships it; he makes it a graven image and falls down before it. 16 Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he eats meat as he roasts a roast and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm, I have seen the fire.” 17 But the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god.” 18 They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend. 19 No one recalls, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat it. Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, I fall down before a block of wood!” 20 He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside. And he cannot deliver himself, nor say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”

Jeremiah 10:8-9,10: 8 But they are altogether stupid and foolish in their discipline of delusion—their idol is wood! 9 Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of a craftsman and of the hands of a goldsmith; violet and purple are their clothing; they are all the work of skilled men. 10 But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth quakes and the nations cannot endure His indignation.

Consider yet another of the heretical, blasphemous beliefs, teachings, and practices of Rome – the Eucharist. It is this evil practice that totally denies the “once for all” sufficient sacrifice of Christ for the sin of any and all who will believe – Hebrews 7:26-27.

Hebrews 7:26-27: 26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all, when He offered up Himself.

This evil ritual facilitates the satanic lie known as “transubstantiation”, where, as taught by Rome, the individual “must be transubstantiated into Christ” by way of taking the bread and the wine. Contrary to this satanic lie, God’s Holy Word reveals the exact opposite – that when God causes one of His elect children (Ephesians 1:3-6) to be born again (I Peter 1:3) that individual is instantly, supernaturally indwelled, by God’s grace, with the Person of the Holy Spirit, the third member of His Trinitarian majesty and glory – John 14:6; II Corinthians 5:17; Acts 2:1-4; I Corinthians 2:15-16; 3:16-17; I John 2:20,27.

Ephesians 1:3-6: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

I Peter 1:3: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

John 14:6: 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the Father but through Me.”

II Corinthians 5:17: 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Acts 2:1-4: 1 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.

I Corinthians 2:15-16: 15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.

I Corinthians 3:16-17: 16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

I John 2:20,27: 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth.……..25 This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. 27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

This sacrament is an admixture of pagan Eastern Mysticism, wizardry, idolatry, and human superstition that is fundamentally irrational, blasphemous, always evil, and completely unbiblical – Isaiah 5:20-21; II Corinthians 11:13-15.

II Corinthians 11:13-15: 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

This evil doctrine completely denies and rejects the “once for all” propitiatory, all-sufficient death, resurrection, and ascension of our victorious Lord Jesus Christ back to His Father’s Sovereign right hand – Colossians 2:9-10; 1:22; Hebrews 1:1-4; 7:25.

Colossians 2:9-10: 9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority.

Colossians 1:21-22: 21 And although you were formally alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.

Hebrews 1:1-4: 1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

Hebrews 7:25: 25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Clearly, in rejecting this truth, apostate Rome foundationally rejects the entire authority, veracity, perspicuity, and inspiration of God’s Holy Word – Isaiah 5:20-21.

The Catholic church believes and teaches that at every Mass, the bread and wine are literally, physically transformed into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. In other words necessitating the death of Christ unendingly in this pagan, heathen act of recrucification as testified to by the bread and wine being supposedly transformed into His literal physical body and blood. Romanism teaches that this is the first and primary Eucharistic miracle. This heretical doctrine opened the door for the ages long, continuous litany of “Eucharistic Miracles” spawned by this satanic, false system. The church has a monumental collection of supposed Eucharistic Miracles going back hundreds of years all of which are satanic in origin. These “miracles”, as taught by the church, serve to “deepen faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist” – Deuteronomy 13:1-5; Jeremiah 10:8-9.

As stated above, this satanic doctrine is akin to the practice of wizardry, witchcraft, and superstition. It testifies to the fact that, no matter how repetitiously Scripture is referred to, apostate Rome totally rejects God’s Holy Word as having any authority in the church. Scripture, in Roman Catholicism, is a convenient addendum to legitimize the deceptive predominance of church tradition, papal edicts, multiple sacraments, the rosary, Mary worship, idolatry, penance, finally, the deceptive practice of praying for the salvation of the dead who reside in “purgatory”, the non-existent figment of Satan’s evil imagination spawned on God-hating sons of Adam (Romans 8:7; II Corinthians 4:3-4), the 1.4 billion deceived, lost, fear controlled, spiritually dead individuals who embrace this evil system – Proverbs 16:4; Job 21:30; Psalm 92:6-7; Romans 9:22-24; Revelation 20:10,11-14,15; 13:8.

Romans 8:7: 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,

II Corinthians 4:3-4: And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Proverbs 16:4: 4 The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil.

Job 21:30: 30 “For the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity; They will be led forth at the day of fury.

Psalm 92:6-7: 6 A senseless man has no knowledge, nor does a stupid man understand this: 7 That when the wicked sprouted up like grass, and all who did iniquity flourished, it was only that they might be destroyed forever.

Romans 9:22-24: 22 What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? 23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.

Revelation 20:10,11-14,15: 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimestone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Judgment at the Throne of God

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire……. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 13:8: 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him(Satan), everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

There is yet another evil, apostate counterfeit to be mindful of, namely Romanisms “Book of Saints”. This is the churches record of their idolatrous practice of “deifying” dead human beings. Once deified, the “faithful” are admonished to worship, pray to and look to these saints for miracles. Herein has Satan masterfully counterfeited our Father’s glorious, blessed, completed before time began Lamb’s Book of Life, wherein He, out of the kindness of His will, inscribed the name of everyone of His elect children, chosen by Him, to be the bride of Christ – Ephesians 1:3-6.

The escalating visibility of Roman Catholicism in the public arena today has and continues to alter the “face of Christianity” in America today – 2025. Romanism is being openly referred to as “Christian/Christianity” in the public arena and in the compromised evangelical church in America today. The terms “Christian” and “Christianity” have become, in Satan’s evil plan, synonymous with the apostate Catholic system in America today. The most conservative news source, FoxNews, constantly generates articles exalting, promoting, and affirming anything and all things Catholic. As an example, one of their most vocal proponents of Roman Catholicism is Raymond Arroyo.

Raymond Arroyo is abundantly articulate about all things Catholic and proclaims such with much arrogant authority. It is worthy of note that Mr. Arroyo is the founding News Director, Managing Editor, and Lead Anchor for EWTN News. As such he is seen and heard in more than 350 million homes on six continents every week a well as being heard on more than 500 AM/FM affiliates, and one stand alone Sirius channel throughout the U.S. He established EWTN News and The World Over Live in 1996, which he hosts from Washington, DC weekly.

What is EWTN? EWTN is the Eternal Word Television Network that was started by Mother Angelica, a Catholic nun, in a garage in Birmingham, Alabama in 1981. EWTN has become the largest religious media empire in the world and it is totally and completely Roman Catholic. The following is an example of Mr. Arroyo’s promotion of all things Catholic.

In an interview with Fox News Will Cain on May 11, 2025, Mr. Arroyo stated “I know God’s in control but…..” to which he proceeded with “It takes your breath away whenever a new Pope comes out” referring to being in St. Peter’s Square the first time Leo XIV came out on his balcony to greet the throng in the square. Mr. Arroyo went on to state with almost condescending authority “We have to remember this is the 267th successor of the apostle Peter.” Herein is a totally satanic prostitution of our Lord’s statement to Peter in Matthew 16:18(15-19), arrogantly declared by a wolf (Matthew 7:15; Acts 20:29) disguised as a self-proclaimed angel of light – II Corinthians 11:13-15.

Matthew 16:18: 18 “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

Rome’s satanically inspired deifying of the Pope as the supposed “head” of the church based on Christ’s declaration to Peter in this verse was totally stripping it of its Biblical context. In its context Christ’s statement to Peter followed Peter’s response as Simon Peter, Christ having, in that moment, changed his name to Peter. In the context of this passage, Christ had just asked the 12 apostles who they said that He was and Simon Peter’s response was “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”. Jesus response to Simon Peter’s answer was to declare that “flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” Our Lord’s reference to His Father in heaven was an acknowledgment by Christ, to Peter and the other eleven, that only supernatural, repenting, saving faith could have enabled Peter to answer correctly as he did. And it was this same God-given, supernatural faith in the lives of God’s future elect children that He, Christ, would build His church on. It was this God-given, supernatural faith that enabled Peter to answer correctly, not the human intellect of the man named Peter.

Matthew 7:15: 15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Acts 20:29: 29 “I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;

In his blind allegiance to the propagation of Rome (II Corinthians 4:4; Isaiah 5:20-21), Mr. Arroyo puts himself, in essence, in the same position of condemnation by God as did the prophets of Israel in Ezekiel 13. Ezekiel 13:3 and 6 states, 3 “Thus says the LORD GOD, ‘woe to the foolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have seen nothing…….6 “They see falsehood and lying divination who are saying, ‘The LORD declares,’ when the LORD has not sent them;”. Mr. Arroyo arrogantly continued declaring with much authority, saying “there is a much bigger challenge for this Pope, Will, and that is to clarify Christian and Catholic doctrine.”

Notice, Mr. Arroyo, whether consciously or not, establishes the fact of contradictory doctrinal differences between Christianity and Catholicism.

Mr. Arroyo then stated “One caveat I’m going to give to all I’m about to say here is that when a man begins to assume this office of the Papacy, it inevitably changes him. There’s something that happens to the personality, even the teaching of the man. So we can’t say that the man that he was will necessarily be the Pope he will be tomorrow.” This is a monumental, Biblically ignorant, eternally significant testimony of the satanic lies of all that constitutes Romanism – always in flux; the only absolute being the insidiously consistent foundation of lies it is built on.

What Mr. Arroyo has done in making this statement is to subtly open the door to be able to rationalize, as legitimate, whatever the Pope says or does. This also serves to perpetuate the satanic lie pertaining to Papal infallibility – Isaiah 5:20-21.

Mr. Arroyo then went on to make several additional comments worth noting:

“The Pope will continue to move things left.”

“He’s a progressive wearing traditional garb.”

“He’s the same model as was Francis. Francis invited everybody in to discuss ways to improve the church – atheist, young people, doctors, other religions, LGBTQ’s.” The church Christ is building needs no “improvement”.

“Leo will even change the doctrine and teaching of the church.” This is nothing new. The doctrine and teaching of Romanism has been in flux for centuries based on the whim and wherefore of the currently reigning Pope.

“I’ll share one last statement, ‘Money was a big issue. The church is basically broke – has a two billion dollar deficit; 400,000,000 in pension debt……’”.

At one point Will Cain asked a political question, stating first, “I understand the Pope is selected by God, but……..” to which Mr. Arroyo quickly responded “Hope springs eternal Will, even in the eternal city.” referring of course to Rome. Rome is Satan’s counterfeit of God’s Holy City, Jerusalem, and it is in Rome that the insidious counterfeit of God’s Holy Temple – the Vatican exists.

The Holy Spirit, via Solomon’s pen in Proverbs 18:2 describes Raymond Arroyo when He states “A fool does not delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own mind.”

There clearly is, as evidenced by this brief list of FoxNews articles, an escalating rise in the promotion of all things Catholic in the public arena in America today – 2025.

As Biblical, New Testament, New Covenant (Hebrews 11:39-40) Christian’s it behooves us, in accordance with God’s command to be diligent Berean’s as described by Luke in Acts 17:11 – the Berean’s who, when they heard Paul preaching, “examined the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.”

The following passages, for your further study, clearly reveal God’s commands concerning how we as true believers are to consider and deal with false teachers and their false systems – Deuteronomy 13:1-5; Ezekiel 9:3-6; 22:23-28 (these OT passages reveal the extent and depth of the Holy hatred of God for all false teachers – they were to be “put to death” so as to “purge the evil from among you.”. Only God’s mercy precludes that being the way to deal with them today) ; Matthew 7:15-20; 10:16; Mark 13:21-23; Romans 16:17-18; II Corinthians 6:14-17; 10:3-5; Colossians 2:8; II John 7-11; II Peter 2-3; Jude 4,8-10.

I encourage you to read and meditate sincerely on the truth clearly stated in these passages.

Contrary to the mentality of the majority of professing believers today, compromised, undiscerning pastors included, true Christ-like love does not practice an ecumenical, embrace all “faiths” no matter what they teach and believe, false self-preserving love (Provers 25:26; Acts 10:34-35). No! True Christ-like love proclaims God’s truth in a spirit and attitude of genuine compassion and concern for the souls of the billions who are enslaved in the bondage of their own unbelief (Romans 8:6-8; 3:18,23) as well as the teachings of any of these false systems, Roman Catholicism being perhaps the most insidious in that it professes to be Christian. They are as those described by Paul in II Corinthians 4:3-4: “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world who has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

Proverbs 25:26: 26 Like a trampled spring and a polluted well Is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.

Acts 10:34-35: 34 Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, 35 but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.

According to their own numbers, the Catholic Church boasts of having 1.4 billion followers worldwide.

Based on God’s word in II Corinthians 4:3-4 that we just considered, apart from God’s foreordained, loving, elective grace (Ephesians 1:3-6) 1.4 billion individuals will die and go to hell thinking they were right with God because of their life-long attempts to diligently fulfill the myriad of ungodly, works based, human effort driven requirements of the apostate system of Roman Catholicism (Matthew 7:21-23). It’s for this reason we as God’s children should diligently and faithfully pray that our God, in accordance with His Holy will, as revealed in Ephesians 1:3-6, will graciously call some out of this false system – Philippians 4:4-5,6-7; I Peter 1:3,4-5,6a.

Matthew 7:21-23: 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘’Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS’.

I Peter 1:3-6a: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice

This, dear reader, is what it means to love with Christ-like love. To fail, as believers, to “callout” this heinous false system is to become as those men described in Proverbs 20:6; 25:26, committing the sin of the priests of Israel as recorded in Ezekiel 22:26-28.

Proverbs 20:6: 6 Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, but who can find a trustworthy man?

Proverbs 25:26: 26 Like a trampled spring and a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.

Ezekiel 22:26-28: 26 “Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 27 “Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain. 28 “Her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,’ when the LORD has not spoken.

Consider this brief review of Roman Catholicism’s satanic counterfeit of God’s Holy, Biblically revealed plan of redeeming grace and love, beginning with the very Person of God Himself – that plan determined in the Trinitarian Godhead, in His Holy heaven “before time began” as Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, recorded in Ephesians 1:3-6.
