Salvation – one way, by the elective grace of our infinitely loving, kind, gracious God & Father:
Roms 10:11-15: 11 For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”
Be careful to note every word & phrase I have italicized in the following passages. Each one reveals something of the wonder of the reality of God’s saving grace being the literal result of His exercising His elective grace on & in the redeemed individuals life.
Contrary to the teaching of many, particularly since the days of the Protestant Reformation, that man did not completely fall in Gen 3, but retained a remnant of his created sinlessness, therein retaining the freewill to choose or reject God’s offer of salvation in Jesus Christ, scripture teaches no such thing. Based on the veracity of God’s Holy word (veracity – conformity with truth or fact; accuracy; devotion to the truth; Truthfulness – Jn 17:17; Gen 1:1; Ps 19:7- 11; 119; Is 44:6; 40:5-8; 55:8,9-11; 66:1-2; Pro 30: 5-6; II Tim 3:16-17; II Ptr 1:16-18,19-21; Rev 22:18-19), no human being has a spiritual “freewill” with which he can choose to accept or reject God’s offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. Roms 8:6-8 clearly teaches the opposite when it states that “those who are in the flesh (dead in trespasses and sin/my emphasis) cannot please God.” Also, see as well, Roms 9:10-13,15-16,22-24. Christ affirms these Truths in Jn 6:44 & 65 as does Peter in I Ptr 1:3(“caused) & II Ptr 1:1- 2(“received”).
